Seeking own replacement for General Manager of the Universe (GMU) position. Recently advised that moonlighting in a recovery program is a conflict of interest with the proscribed values of GMU and that if said "recovery" is really that important perhaps stepping down as GMU is best for all concerned. FINE.

Recovery Round 1: 2/92-6/99 (22-29 years old)
Drunken Days: 6/99-4/7/10 (29-41 years old)
Recovery Round 2: 4/7/10 - Yesterday
I was sober for 7 years, relapsed for 11, and I'm sober again. I went to AA the first time around, and I go to AA now. For me, it works. Upon my return to AA, I was not stoned or even heaped with derision as expected. People wanted to know how I relapsed and how they could avoid it. I write about relapse, Recovery Round 2, and I'll probably throw in some book, movie and other random minutiae.
Apparently, I REALLY didn't want to experience my 30s.
